- NCH Chiller Replacement � Amendment 02 The purpose of this amendment is to provide a PPI Log with a complete Q&As as of 7/29/2020, and a site visit attendee list.� The RFP due remain as Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 1:00pm PDT. Amendment 01 A. The purpose of this amendment is to 1) provide a PPI Log with a complete Q&As as of 7/27/2020 with two electrical drawings, EP-601-VWA00358.pdf and EP-602-VWA00358.pdf, and 2) change the RFP closing date and time from Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm PDT to Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm PDT.� The electrical drawings can be found in shared Google Drive, Contractor Solicitation Documents > Technical Questions and Responses (PPI Log).� This Solicitation is TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. FAR 52.219-6 Limitations on Subcontracting applies to this solicitation. Please see Solicitation for further information on percentage applicability. This procurement will be advertised under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. The small business size standard for NAICS code 238220 is $16.5M in average annual receipts over the past three (3) years. General Information The Seattle U.S. Courthouse is located at 1010 5th Ave Seattle, WA 98104. PROJECT BACKGROUND/DESCRIPTION: The Nakamura U.S. Courthouse is located at: Nakamura Courthouse 1010 5th Avenue Seattle, WA 98104 This project is being undertaken to increase the efficiency of the cooling equipment at Nakamura courthouse, specifically during the lower load cooling hours of the year (spring and fall, as well as early cool summer mornings). Presently, the central plant has two 200 ton centrifugal chillers, which are not able to meet the lower loads without excessive short-cycling. Presently, during the peak cooling season, one 200-chiller, at part load, can maintain the cooling load of the building. PROJECT SCOPE:� Design and construction for the addition of one variable-speed-compressor jockey-chiller to satisfy the shoulder season and early morning cooling loads of the Nakamura courthouse building. The new chiller shall be mechanically connected to the existing cooling plant, and controlled by the existing building automation system. The building cooling sequence of operation shall be modified to incorporate the new Jockey chiller, as the first stage of cooling for the building, as well as provide trim capacity, or third stage cooling, if needed. See attached Statement of Work for detailed information. � Responses Upon receipt of Solicitation Package, Interested Vendors shall complete and sign, SBU Agreement Exhibit 0 and return with attachments to Contract Specialist, jong.kim@gsa.gov and Contracting Officer, kimberlym.johnson@gsa.gov . Interested Vendor shall create a GSA.google email account via GACA Instructions atteched for access to SBU documents. .
