Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice for Architect/Engineering services Repair Precast throughout the Hampton VAMC campus. Please respond if you have the ability and intent to complete this requirement. Include in your response a copy of your capabilities statement. This Sources Sought Notice is intended to locate Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and Small Businesses. The anticipated NAICS Code for this requirement is 541310. This is not a Request for Quotation and quotes shall not be reviewed at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by the contractor as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Minimum needs of the Government are as follows: The A/E shall provide design services for NRM construction project 590-19-119. The A/E shall provide a complete condition assessment of all exterior precast concrete and copings stones on buildings 110, 110A, 110B, 135, 146, 148T and 15. The assessment shall include structural condition, soil and staining, mortar and caulking joints and metal cap flashings. A determination shall be made on areas to be cleaned and sealed, areas to be sealed, joints to be removed and replaced with flexible materials, metal cap flashing to be replaced and metal cap flashings to be installed over deteriorated coping stones after joints are replaced. In addition, several dryvit panels will be replaced by precast and areas on the water side of B-110 where precast has been removed by past construction shall be replaced to match the existing building profiles. SERVICES REQUIRED: Architect/Engineering (A/E) Site investigation Architectural (historical buildings knowledge required) Condition Assessment and repair process selection Construction drawings and specifications Third party construction estimates Construction period services Construction Final Inspection Conduct Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) in conjunction with VA Safety/Infection Control staff All responses shall be submitted via email by Monday, August 17, 2020 at 15:30 EST.
