Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground � Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command (CCDC), Combat Feeding Directorate (CFD) intends to procure on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements � the ESPEC NAVRP System P-300 Walk-in refrigerator, including controllers and installation. Refrigeration has been identified as the top priority by the various Navy TYCOMs, and the Navy has identified the NAVRP as a solution that will help off-set the refrigeration issues- the P-300-touch-screen controller/Temperature programmer/controller. These touch screen based controllers are to be used for the NAVRP system designed for shipboard applications, allowing control of the temperatures for the different zones, and providing prognostics and diagnostics for the system. Without these controllers, the NAVRP cannot function. Natick Contracting is anticipating awarding this contract to Espec North America, Inc. 4141 Central Parkway, Hudsonville, MI 49426-7828. Espec North America Inc. owns the propriety rights and license to the ESPEC refrigeration chamber. Therefore, Espec North America is the only company that can provide the required ESPEC walk-in refrigerator. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued. This is not a request for quotes.� No solicitation package is available.� Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333415.� Inquiries and responses may be sent to Maryanne Peck, Contract Specialist, via email at maryanne.e.peck.civ@mail.mil no later than 19 August 2020 @ 12:00PM EST.
