- Description
- The Biosafety Officer at Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory (SEPRL) has the need to purchase two hydrophobic filter water intrusion testing devices. Hydrophobic filters are utilized on decontamination system plumbing vents within the biocontainment facility for filtration during the decontamination of biological waste processes. Hydrophobic filters ensure proper microbial filtration of the vented air from the decontamination processes in humid and high temperature conditions to provide proper environmental protection. Water intrusion testing devices ensure the integrity of these high temperature hydrophobic filters through a series of testing utilizing water intrusion testing technology. These water intrusion testing devices should electronic means that ensure the hydrophobic filters within the filter housings themselves are properly validated regarding the integrity of the hydrophobic filter. The required specifications for the two hydrophobic filter water intrusion testing devices are that they are portable and have the ability to be connected to hydrophobic filter cartridge housings that contain high temperature hydrophobic filters for water intrusion testing purposes. The two hydrophobic filter testing devices must have the ability to connect to hydrophobic vent filter housings via a quick connection and valve to perform hydrophobic filter water intrusion testing. The two hydrophobic filter testing devices should also have the ability to print or electronically export out a report of the testing parameters and the results of the water intrusion tests performed on the hydrophobic filters. The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the specifications will be most advantageous to the Government.
