Rare earth technology is being pursued globally at fever pitch The DOE Tripartite Collaboration (US-EU-Japan) is ongoing for the technology development� Global clean energy industry has projected the acute shortage of rare-earth elements around 2030 Two of the most important areas:� Production of RE metals/alloys Recycling of waste RE materials� INL's Solutions:� Recycling waste rare earth permanent magnet (NdFeB) A one-step conversion process of the rare earth oxices to rare earth metals and alloys A molten salt electrolytic process to fabricate new hybrid/composite magnetic materials Conversion of a non-magnet to soft magnet� INL is seeking to license the above intellectual property to a company with a demonstrated ability to bring such inventions to the market. Exclusive rights in defined fields of use may be available.
