- The 97th MXG at Altus, OK 73523 has a need for the manufacture and delivery of a KC 45 Lower Lobe Stand in accordance with the following characteristics: Large top deck that easily adjusts from 74? (for forward door entry) to 101? (for aft door entry) with stops at 3? increments.� - This adjustment is made by simply pushing, or pulling on a lever and the �counter balanced deck� rises or lowers with little effort, and then insert locking pins to lock stand into place. Platform deck must have; Must have a 600 pound max load, Slip Resistance, Self-Draining, Corrosion Resistant, 4� Toe Board� Stand must have complete manual operating capabilities. Wheel casters must be; 16�X4� Solid rubber wheels w/5 lugs, Heavy- Duty bearings on heavy duty axles. Swivel Wheels must be; Two (8? x 2?) Urethane over steel wheels with precision bearings and heavy-duty axles swivels. Steps must; Constructed of galvanized steel grip non-slip, Self-Cleaning/Draining, Baked on Safety yellow leading edge. Made out of heavy duty steel construction yet light enough to make it easily movable by one person. Color must be; Gray applied with powder coated method with additional coat of UV resistant clear coat. Brakes must have; Single lever actuated, Dual front plunge brakes. Tow Bar must have; Integrated pintle ring type, Folds out of the way for safety without requiring disconnection. Wheel Chocks; Stand must contain two each (one set) wheel chocks secured to stand. �More than ample cross bracing for durability and a long service life.� Deck space on this equipment is 58� wide and 46� deep, and covers cargo door opening for safe transitioning from stand to cargo compartment.� Hands rails need to be designed to conform to the curvature of the aircraft eliminating any contact, or damage to the aircraft, but most importantly mechanics cannot fall, or sustain injury. Distance between steps: apprx 8.5, sometimes 8.25� (OSHA compliant up to 10�) Amt of steps: based on height apprx 10 steps per stair Angle of stair: apprx 48 degrees Stand is comprised of a mobile stair and platform deck Mechanical actuated contains no hydraulic components The 97th Contracting Flight intends to make award to WAAG (CAGE: 8MR67). The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
