- ***AMENDMENT 0001 TO SOLICITATION N3943020R2230 *** SEE ATTACHED AMENDMENT 0001 *** SEE REVISED ATTACHMENT J-1 SCHEDULE OF FIRM FIXED PRICE RATES The Navy, like many organizations, operates facilities which require reliable electric power. Power is usually supplied by commercial utilities and Government self-generation. Back-up power is typically supplied by engine generators and battery-based uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs). These engine generators and UPSs are generally three-phase units and may range in size from a few tens-of-kilowatts (kW) to several megawatts (MW). Power systems include distribution from the source to the end user. Critical utilities may include environmental /mechanical systems / equipment support to include: heating-ventilation & air-conditioning (HVAC), fire suppression, etc. in order to support the requisite safety, OEM safe operating ranges of temperature, humidity, ventilation, etc. The Navys mission requirements are frequently changing, so new facilities and equipment must be acquired and installed, or existing facilities and equipment must be upgraded. Even where the mission stays the same, existing facilities and equipment require periodic maintenance and replacement. The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC), Port Hueneme, CA is responsible for assisting Navy and other U.S. Government agencies worldwide in supporting their critical power requirements. The purpose of this contract is to obtain worldwide services including design, procurement, installation, renovation, integration, replacement, alterations, technology refresh, troubleshooting, assessments/inspections, testing, technical documentation, maintenance and repair of critical power systems, loads, and supporting facilities at various worldwide locations. Work may include all phases from inception, design, system installation, training, removal, and disposal. Additionally, requirements may contain incidental construction activities that will be addressed at the individual task order level.
