Description

Purchase a Cray XC30 service blade (2 service nodes), shipping, installation, support and maintenance, to allow distribution of specific services to the new service nodes, and improve file system performance and login node performance. Service Node expansion - (NOAA - XC30AC ServiceBlade) 64 GB Memory 10Gb and 1 Gb Ethernet Connectivity Installation IO Riser for Cascade SIO Blade OS Components for SIO Blades Intel socket 8 core 2.6Ghz Maintenance Estimate for additional service blade (replacement for existing blade) 9/14/2022 NEW ITEMS ONLY, NO REFURBISHMENTS ACCEPTED. Purchase of a CRAY XC30 service blade which will replace a computing blade will allow better performance and continuity of operations.� A systematic review of compatible hardware that will directly interface with the Cray XC30, its power and backplane interconnections and its proprietary high-performance inter-node and inter-chassis interconnect resulted in the determination that no other manufacturer has blade-level subsystems that meet these requirements Only CRAY certified equipment is acceptable. DELIVERABLE SCHEDULE:� INSTALLATION AND DELIVERY REQUESTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DATE OF AWARD - This is a request for quote using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 334111. The small business size standard is $27.5 M. In order to receive an award, the offeror shall complete the annual representations and certifications electronically in System for Award Management at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. The RFQ will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov and is scheduled for issuance on or around August 13, 2020 and quotes are due by August 12, 2020 no later than 3:00 pm EST. No paper copies will be issued. Additionally, the Government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to respond to this solicitation notice.
