- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS ISSUED FOR INFORATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT CONSIDERED A SOLICITATION. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of businesses capable of satisfying the following work requirements: A. GENERAL: The contractor will deliver all equipment outlined in the quote below, including the MECTA Sigma ECT device with EEG monitoring channels, the MECTA Sigma Dual hand-held electrode assembly with push button, the MECTA Starter kit, and the MECTA Sigma laminated titration tables. LOCATIONS OF SERVICES PROVIDED: White River Junction VA Medical Center B. WORK HOURS: 1. Normal Work Hours: The service schedule will be developed between the contractor and Contractor s Technical Representative (COTR) prior to any service being performed. 2. National Holidays: The ten holidays observed by the Federal Government are: New Years Day, Martin Luther King s Birthday, President s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day and any other day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a national holiday. C. SPECIFICATIONS: Description of Service: The contractor shall ship the requested items to White River Junction VA. This purchase will be used for electroconvulsive therapy. It is a standalone equipment purchase will not need for vendor install. The vendor will be required to provide online education to the clinical staff and assist remotely with the setup of the device. This will be a one-time install and will not require additional monitoring from the vendor. The contractor shall conform to all federal, state, and local regulations governing examining and licensing of pest control operators, performance of pest control, use of approved pest control chemicals and equipment, and proper disposal methods for all products/containers, which may be in effect for the area where the work under the contract will be performed. The contractor will facilitate installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of MECTA Sigma ECT device. The contractor will provide technical and user training to White River Junction staff. The contractor will coordinate remote install with biomedical engineering prior to clinical use. The contractor will provide all relevant support documentation for the operation and maintenance of the system. ALL workers are required to go through this screening prior to entering any VA building, even before signing into a jobsite. All contractors will be required to wear a facemask while inside the VA building. The contractor shall honor a one-year equipment warranty for parts and service for equipment used according to the manufacturer specifications. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Response to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. Responses to this sources sought/RFI are due by August 14, 2020 at 5 PM EST time. Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to issa.shawki@va.gov. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this request for information. Responses to this notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112 and a small size standard of 1,000 employees.
