Description: This announcement serves as a Request for Information (RFI) issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 for a potential upcoming acquisition at the United States Air Force Academy, CO. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes, and does not constitute a solicitation. For the purpose of this RFI, the Government is considering use of the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339999 with a size standard is 500 employees. The Government will consider any feedback regarding alternate NAICS which may be applicable. The purpose of this notice is to identify companies capable and qualified to provide display model aircraft in accordance with United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) specifications. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide a static display honoring the Tuskegee Legacy. This display will incorporate two 1:3 scale models. One model of the P-51C and one model of the T-7, each flanking a side of the Davis Airfield signage. Construction of the support structure for this display will be done independently of this acquisition. General Description: 1:3 scale, outdoor models of a P-51C and a T-7. P-51C will measure 10ï¿½8 2/3ï¿½ in length with a 12ï¿½4ï¿½ wingspan, scaled. T-7 will measure 15ï¿½8ï¿½ with an 11ï¿½ wingspan, scaled. Both models will showcase the Red Tail paint scheme. Both models will be mounted on posts. Clearance from ground to bottom of model approximately 10ï¿½ to 12ï¿½. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management (SAM), lack of registration in SAM will make an offeror ineligible for contract award.ï¿½ Offerors and Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via SAM accessed through https://www.sam.gov/portal.ï¿½ Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary.ï¿½ The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Proprietary information should be marked ""PROPRIETARY INFORMATION"". Interested businesses shall provide the following information: Company name, mailing address, cage code, DUNS numbers, point of contact, telephone number, and email address. Business size status, e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, Woman/Women Owned or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, small business, large business, etc. Appropriate written information and/or data supporting their capability to perform the required effort to include past performance information. Feedback on the following questions: a) How long you have been in business? b) Have you ever manufactured this type of model military aircraft or a similar model aircraft? c) Are manufacturer or installer certifications typical for this type of work? d) What other industry standards exist for this type of work? e) What type of business arrangement would you utilize for this acquisition? f) Are you a manufacturer of this type of equipment; if you subcontract out a portion of the work, please explain? g) Have you ever performed government contracts or performed any work on a government installation? h) What are your payment terms? i) If you require different terms and conditions than those normally used by the Government, what are your commercial terms and conditions?ï¿½ Please feel free to provide a copy of your terms and conditions for this type of work. j) What is your estimated cost for this requirement?
