Description

The USAMRAA, on behalf of the Chemical Casualty Care Division of the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (CCCD/USAMRICD) intends to procure a firm-fixed-price (FFP) purchase order to upgrade and enhance the current WAVElet system. The WAVElet currently installed at CCCD/MRICD is a proprietary, immersive, virtual environment system which was designed and installed by Mechdyne. The proposed 3D content, software, and display technology have been specifically designed to work with the WAVElet system in place, and are not available from any other vendor. In addition, the upgrades and enhancements have to be fully compatible with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) WAVE which is the system already in place at CCCD/USAMRICD. Items to be serviced under this acquisition include, system and software upgrades to current WAVE system. Items to be added to enhance the current WAVE system are: custom software 3D content and scenario development for the WAVElet; custom software development H-hour virtual patient visualization; custom software content development underground tunnel firefight scenario modules; training on new software and scenario modules.
