- Description
- The Food and Drug Administrations (FDAs) Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), has a mission to protect the public health by ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medical devices. More specifically, CDRH assure that patients and providers have timely and continued access to safe, effective, high-quality medical devices and safe radiation-emitting products. We provide consumers, patients, their caregivers, and providers with understandable and accessible science-based information about the products we oversee. We facilitate medical device innovation by advancing regulatory science, providing industry with predictable, consistent, transparent, and efficient regulatory pathways, and assuring consumer confidence in devices marketed in the U.S. Additionally, under the Safe Medical Devices Act of 1990, CDRH has established an International Staff to coordinate the development of agreements with foreign countries to facilitate trade in devices. CDRH is also responsible for helping to speed innovations that make medical devices more effective, safer and more affordable. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center of Medical Devices and Radiological health (CDRH) is responsible for one (1) atrium located in Building 66 of the FDA White Oak Campus and thirty-four (34) conference/meeting/training rooms on the FDA White Oak Campus, located in Building 66. These rooms host events for Government and non-Government entities. The objective of this requirement is to improve the audio quality and visual experience for users, both in-person and remotely, when using the six identified conference rooms. This will be accomplished through the procurement and installation of equipment. The equipment and installation approach must be proven by industry standard to evenly capture and transmit intelligible audio signal to an audio interface and provide video streaming capabilities through a web-based meeting platform.
