- Description
- Purchase Request 20115674 Pre-solicitation Notice The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to award a sole source purchase order, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), with MasTec Network Solutions, LLP to support communications at CBP's Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the National Targeting Center (NTC), in Virginia. OFO requires maintenance service on its Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for currently deployed frequencies established for in-building cellular phone voice and data services. This will support multiple services (voice/data) in a modular architecture, enabling adding or removing services without disturbing existing services. Additionally, this requirement includes optional repair of components and materials, with the contractor responsible for all labor. The Office of Information and Technology Field Support Directorate (FSD) conducted market research showing MasTec Network Solutions as best suited for satisfying this requirement. As a former subcontractor to Verizon, MasTec Network Solutions installed the DAS and is the most knowledgeable with the installed equipment, containing proprietary and protected design aspects. Therefore, it is in the Governments best interest for best value to award this requirement to MasTec Network Solutions. The Government intends to solicit and award directly with MasTec Network Solutions. No solicitation package will be issued. This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive price quotes or proposals. If any interested party believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a written statement of capabilities containing sufficiently detailed information to allow the Government to determine whether that party can satisfy the requirement. A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is at the Governments sole discretion. All interested parties must express their capabilities in writing via e-mail to Edward Cho at edward.y.cho@cbp.dhs.gov. Verification of receipt of response is the sole responsibility of the interested party. If no responses are received by August 19, 2020 at 3:00 PM EDT, the award will be made to MasTec Network Solutions, LLP. The anticipated award date is August 20, 2020.
