Description
Update as of 8/12/2020: Due date is extended until 8/14/2020 at 1400 EST. Questions received and answers below: Question 1 This PWS states that we will only replace the Core switches in Parallel with the existing system. Is this correct? Answer: Thats not correct. The PWS states that a parallel core is needed to facilitate the migration of EASs, but the end state is to replace the existing system with a new modernized ICAN. Question 2 Can the government provide the number of ACSs and ADSs required at the four bases listed for us to provide a more detailed ROM? Answer: Here are our guidelines for sizing sites and what size we consider the four sites we listed: Small: less than 4 ACS Medium: 4-7 ACS/less than 600 EAS Large: 8-13 ACS/601-1,500 EAS Belvoir Large; Red River Medium; Jackson Large; JBSA - Large Question 3 Is the ROM supposed to include the cost of replacing the EASs based on the site list? Answer: Not required but if possible, it is desired. Question 4 Is there a requirement for SIPERNET replacement in this RFI or is that based on site specific requirements? Answer: SIPR will be required as mentioned in the PWS. Its anticipated that an ICAN-DI architecture document for SIPR will be released along with the RFP to be used as the reference network architecture for SIPRNET ICAN modernization. Question 5 Will there be site surveys before the base specific RFP is released or within the response window? Answer: To be determined. If you believe that a site survey would be beneficial prior to responding the RFP please include that in your response to the RFI along with why/how it would provide value. This is a Request for Information (RFI) for NETMOD 2.0. This RFI is being issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The Government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested partys expense.
