Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The United Stated Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA); intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, in accordance with IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), with TraumaFX Solutions, Inc. 1250 Harris Bridge Road, Anderson, SC 29621-3409, as the only responsible source that can provide TraumaFX trauma training simulators.� TraumaFX Solutions, Inc. is the original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and only sales and service provider of the TraumaFX Solutions, Inc. trauma patient simulators. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-07 are incorporated. �������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� The United States Army�s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) Medical Modeling, Simulation Informatics & Visualization (MMSIV) unit requires procurement of equipment, training and test kit consumables for two (2) TraumaFX trauma training simulators. These training simulators meets TATRCs requirement to and provide real world battlefield trauma injury simulations in order to train battlefield medics to diagnose and treat injured warfighters. Items being included in this acquisition are: (2) Clinical Response Upper Units (TFX-CRU-R-1); (2) Clinical Response Lower Units (KGS-TFX-CRL-1); (2) Vital Signs Monitors (KGS-TFX-VSM-1); (2) Prosthetic Leg Covers (KGS-TFX-LO-PLC-1); (1) Master Controller (KGS-TFX-MCON-1); (2) Replenish Kit (KGS-TFX-APLPB-RK-1); (6) 5gal Containers of Blood Powder (KGS-TFX-LO-BL-5G); Training, In-person Basic Course (KGS-TFX-BTR-1). The Army�s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) is responsible for research on health informatics, telemedicine/m-Health, medical training systems and computational biology to address medical research programs and military healthcare.� The Medical Modeling, Simulation Informatics & Visualization (MMSIV) units mission is to advance medical excellence through research and development, with the goal of providing training and assessment platforms to prepare individuals, teams and systems to respond to Military Health System�s needs. MMSIV utilizes medical modeling to ensure personal are trained and ready to sustain the health of the warfighter.� In order to provide to training of real world battle field trauma injuries, TATRC�s has a need for TraumaFX trauma patient simulators. �This requirement will enable TATRC MMSIV to replicate real world battlefield injuries and cater to a spectrum of point of injury cases such as IED, gunshot and amputations. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document will be posted for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable TraumaFX trauma patient simulators, are provided by Trauma FX Solutions, Inc. 1250 Harris Bridge Road, Anderson, SC 29621-3409. ��Submit email capabilities statements (using PDF, MS Word, Excel attachments) to Rebecca Wisner at rebecca.c.wisner.civ@mail.mil.
