Description
***PLEASE SEE ATTACHED COMBINED SYNOPSIS AND STATEMENT OF NEED FOR COMPLETE TECHNICAL DETAILS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS.*** The Contractor shall construct three ruggedized autonomous recording trawl cameras that illuminate the field of view with far-red light (650-670 nm peak) and white (separately and switchable). Included must be an internal camera to go with each of the light settings such that the internal camera used with the far-red light has the IR cut out filter removed, and intact when used with white light. The camera unit must be self-contained with a low light internal camera, power supply, and digital video recorder, all in a single aluminum housing with a mounting plate that can be easily affixed and removed from the trawl. The unit must have 180? articulation in the mount, have the capability of being turned on manually or with pressure activation, and be able to record continuously. The unit must be ruggedized for use on a commercial fishing vessel and trawl net (e.g., withstand a drop of 1-2 m onto a hard surface, able to be dragged up and down the stern ramp of a large (>40 m), commercial fishing vessel, and hauled in a trawl net at a speed up to 5 knots), have a scratch resistant viewport, and withstand pressure to at least 1000 m. The internal camera shall perform well in extremely low light, have at least a 128GB solid state memory, timestamp option and time sync, and a display resolution of at least 720 p. The light intensity must be adjustable. The camera unit must have the ability to be powered with either Nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) or Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries that are rechargeable. Data from the video recorder must be easily downloadable, and the unit shall contain a pressure release. In addition, the Contractor shall provide for each camera: a mounting plate, a Pelican case fit for the camera unit, a 128 GB SD card, two NiMH battery packs, one smart charger, and two internal cameras (one with and one without the IR cut out filter removed). In addition, the Contractor shall provide: four Li-ion batteries, two Li-ion battery chargers, six NiMH batteries, and three NiMH battery chargers.
