- Description
- Please see attached combined synopsis and salient characteristics. ***Updated 8/13/2020 to include the following information from questions asked and answered*** 1. Please provide clarification for this statement: Four 1TB SATA III Solid State Drives (Two in RAID 0 for SQL, One for TEMP and One for CASE) Seems you want one for TEMP (please clarify if this means spare?) and one for CASE (please clarify what CASE is) Basically we need to know if these drives need to be physically inside the system and what they will be connected to, ie the RAID card or direct to the MB. The TEMP and CASE designations are simply a method for digitally segregating various forensic analysis cases. The CASE Solid State Drive would be used to store active cases. TEMP is sandbox storage where forensic analysis work can be conducted separately from active case files. Similar to the way one would partition a hard drive to create memory boundaries for the Operating System while designating a portion of memory dedicated to running the latest gaming software. However, in the case of forensic analysis, the lack of separation of forensic evidence could negatively impact its admissibility in legal processes. 2.The CPU specification is very old. The Xeon 2650 v4 processor is over 4 years old and not really available anymore. Can you accept the current model Xeon 4214r 12 core 2.4GHz? I cannot accept the current processor. The specs that were provided for were balanced in terms of processing power and heat dissipation requirements. Changing the processor to the newest model would likely improve performance, but whats the impact on heat dissipation? Does the new processor run warmer or cooler? If it runs cooler, then no problem. If it runs warmer, than other modifications to improve heat dissipation may be necessary. 3. We are not familiar with the accessory item 5 piece PCIe adapter set. Can you supply more specific detail on this item? https://www.forensiccomputers.com/tableau-pcie-5-piece-bundle.html The Tableau PCIe 5 Piece adapter bundle comes with all the adapters that are needed to acquire most NVMe drives. The PCIe bundle from Tableau must be used in conjunction with the T7u, T356789iu, MoAB, or the TX1. Kit includes: TDA7-1 - PCIe Card SSD Adapter TDA7-2 - PCIe M.2 SSD Adapter TDA7-3 - PCIe Adapter for Apple SSD 2013 and later, TDA7-4 - PCIe U.2 SSD Adapter TDA7-7 - Apple 2016+ PCIe SSD Adapter TCPCIE-4 - PCIe adapter cable. 4 in. TB6 - Soft-sided, zippered nylon bag with handle and built-in pockets.
