- This is a sources sought/synopsis announcement issued by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) National Capital Division � Contracting Division (NCR-CD) as part of its market research, on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) & Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH) Sleep Medicine Clinics to procure Non Personal Service Contract for Registered Polysomnography Technicians Services.� The contractor shall provide qualified (certified/registered) Polysomnography Technicians. �The Polysomnography Technician will be required to conduct daytime and nighttime studies, to include monitoring and analyzing Sleep Disorders to satisfy the overall operational objectives for study sessions to support the Sleep Medicine Clinics at WRNMMC and FBCH, Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) in accordance with (IAW) established principles and ethics of the profession, the national standards established by the Joint Commission (JC) and the professional standards at the MTF. The Polysomnography Technician shall be knowledgeable in all areas of sleep disorders technology, including the setup and recording of overnight polysomnograms, continuous positive airway pressure/bi-level positive airway pressure (CPAP/BIPAP) titrations, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLTs), Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWTs) and scoring of data. Services are to be performed in accordance with established principles of sleep technology, including those adopted by the American Sleep Disorders Association and those included in the Sleep disorders Center Standards of Practice. The Polysomnography Technician under this contract shall be responsible for direct patient care which is rendered in the Sleep Disorder Clinic. The Polysomnography Technician is expected to comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the FBCH and WRNMMC Sleep Medicine Clinic.
