- Request for Information Nomenclature: Thermostatic Switch Test Set PSC: 4210, Fire Fighting Equipment & 5930, Switches (includes Thermostatic) NAICS: 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals Background: This is a Request for information (RFI) for written information only.� This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. The notice is strictly for research and information purposes only. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ (NAWCADLKE) requests information on the Thermostatic Switch Test Set. This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. Definitions: A requirement exists at the Organizational level of maintenance, to verify the operation of the LH & RH engine pneumatic fire detector assemblies #1 and #2 during operational checkout of the Nacelle fire protection system. The Thermostatic Switch Test Set will satisfy the requirements of the functional analysis.� The test set is a portable hand carried solid state device used to test the operational validity of thermal switches, thermocouples, and continuous wire (tubing) fire detection systems.� The test set will meet the electromatic interface (EMI) requirements of MIL-STD 461 and spark hazard design requirements of MIL-STD-610.
