Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground � Natick Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command � Soldier Center (CCDC-SC), Soldier Protection and Survivability Directorate (SPSD) intends to award on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements; a Firm Fixed Price contract to Nativas Sciences LLC for a new barrel and fiber winder attachment to the Xplore microcompounder. The Government has a requirement for a new barrel with thermocouples for the Xplore microcompounder and winding unit for the fiber line attached to the Xplore microcompounder. The new barrel and winding unit cannot connect to any other compounding processing system except for the Xplore microcompounder. These products can only be provided by Nativas Sciences. Natick Division anticipates awarding this contract to Nativas Sciences LLC, 137 Glenwood Ave, Leonia, NJ, 07605-1335, United States. Nativas Sciences, LLC is the only known source that can provide the new barrel and fiber winder attachment to the Xplore microcompounder and is proprietary to Nativas Sciences, LLC. This is not a request for quotes.� No solicitation package is available.� Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516.� Inquiries and responses may be sent to Maryanne Peck, Contract Specialist, via email at maryanne.e.peck.civ@mail.mil no later than 3 September 2020 @ 12:00PM EST.
