- Description
- The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). SACNAS has over 8,000 members worldwide representing all STEM related disciplines, 63% of which are female. SACNAS annual conference is the largest multidisciplinary and multicultural STEM diversity event in the country for college students and professionals. With a variety of partnership options, SACNAS offers distinguished opportunities to reach underrepresented groups and increase participation and diversity in STEM at NOAA. Specifically, two sponsorship and exhibitor options that would allow the NOAA SBIR to meet its program goal are: 1) SACNAS Professional Development Session Sponsorship and 2) a Virtual Expo Hall. The Professional Development Session targets students and professionals. The goal is to highlight grants and other funding opportunities NOAA offers in support of NOAAs mission. Benefits include: pre-recorded panel on professional development with 15 minutes of live Q&A, three (3) full conference registrations, branding visibility, written acknowledgement in conference agenda, visual acknowledgement in virtual session room, and a post-conference email sent by SACNAS to session attendees. The pre-recorded panel will also be available on demand for four months after the conference ends. The Virtual Expo Hall will allow all attendees to visit the NOAA booth and set up one-on-one appointments and listen to NOAA staff presentations throughout the day. Benefits include: customized booth background, virtual lounge access, one to group appointments, one-on-one appointments, automated virtual business card, upload resume feature, eight (8) expo hall only registrations, social media announcement, listing in conference exhibitors list pre-conference, mobile banner ad, and e-blast prior to conference.
