- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for a (Humidifier, BIPAP and accessories) for the Washington DC VA Medical Center (688), 50 Irving St NW, Washington DC 20422. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5), 38 U.S.C. 8127(b), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute), and under the authority of VAAR 819.7007, Sole Source Awards to a Verified Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to (vendor) Company Name: FIRST NATION GROUP, LLC Dun: 078875731 Address: 4566 HWY 20 EAST NICEVILLE,FL 32578 Phone: 855-221-5332 The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is (339113) and the Business Size Standard is (750) employees. It is the Government s belief that This requirement is for the acquisition of four BiPAP machines, four humidifiers, four circuit adaptors and four temperature probes to be utilized by the pulmonary service. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: The BIPAP machines are currently used by Veterans in the facility. It meets the requirements in the statement of work. Competition of this requirement would cause great delay and additional costs to the government in the form of staff training. Patient care would be negatively impacted) at the Washington DC VAMC. The estimated value of this acquisition is approximately ($24,500.00). The estimated award date is on or before (8/31/2020). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time, Aug 27, 2020). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
