Description

Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed-Price contract to Pulmonair, 5563 De Zavala Rd, Suite #130, San Antonio, TX 78249, for six Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV) devices for use at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). The statutory authority permitting acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items.� Pulmonair is the only source capable of satisfying the BAMC Respiratory Care Department requirement with the necessary equipment. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instruments, with a size standard of 1,000.� Points of contact (POCs) are Ms. Geraldine Hernandez, Contract Specialist, geraldine.i.hernandez.civ@mail.mil and Mr. Anthony J. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 12:00 p.m. CST, August 25, 2020 via email to geraldine.i.hernandez.civ@mail.mil. The government shall consider all timely responses received that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government.
