- ***THIS SOLICITATION IS CANCELLED*** Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2020-7 (eff. 07/20/2020). This solicitation is set-aside for SDVOSB (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The FSC/PSC is 6515. To ensure safe transport of sterile packages, the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System is seeking to purchase 35 BRAND NAME or EQUAL enclosed surgical case carts. All interested companies shall provide quotations for the following: 35 BRAND NAME or EQUAL enclosed surgical case carts comparable to carts produced by Lakeside Manufacturing (local part number CC258-W with minor modifications to the overall dimensions (see width) with the following salient characteristics: The enclosed carts must have a width of 42 - 43 . The enclosed carts must have a depth of 28 - 30 . The enclosed carts must have a height of 55 - 59 . The enclosed carts must have a flat, solid base. The enclosed carts must have handles that are inset. The enclosed carts should have two solid stainless-steel doors that should open and close with latches to hold open. No glass doors are acceptable. The unit must be completely stainless steel. The enclosed carts must be able to be cleaned via a cart washer. The enclosed carts must have a dirty/clean dial indicator tag. The enclosed carts must contain two pull out, height adjustable stainless-steel wire shelves and must be height adjustable. The enclosed carts should have four corner bumpers. The enclosed carts should have swivel casters with at least 2 locking brakes. The casters should move freely and withstand constant cleaning through a high-pressure cart washer. Delivery shall be provided no later than 90 days after receipt of order (ARO). Award will be based upon a comparative evaluation of quotes in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 13. Comparative evaluation is the side by side pairwise comparison of quotes based on factors resulting in a Contracting Officer decision for the quote most favorable to the Government. The following are the decision factors: price, adherence to salient characteristics. The award will be made to the response most advantageous to the Government. Responses should contain your best terms, conditions. To facilitate the award process, all quotes must include a statement regarding the terms and conditions herein as follows: ""The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document without modification, deletion, or addition."" OR ""The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document with the exception, deletion, or addition of the following:"" Quoters shall list exception(s) and rationale for the exception(s), if any.
