Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS.� This is only a sources sought announcement and not an intent to procure.� A solicitation is not available at this time and any requests for a solicitation will not receive a response.� The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Indo-Pacific is conducting market research to identify local sources capable and interested in fulfilling a possible requirement for the procurement and delivery of CLASS VIII, Medical Laboratory Reagents, in support of United States Naval Medical Clinic, located in Iwakuni, Japan.� The responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions for the next procurement phase.� After review of the responses submitted regarding this potential acquisition, a solicitation announcement may be published in beta.SAM.gov if and when the Government intends to continue with the procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing.� This United States (U.S.) industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing in-vitro (i.e., not taken internally) diagnostic substances, such as chemical, biological, or radioactive substances. The substances are used for diagnostic tests that are performed in test tubes, petri dishes, machines, and other diagnostic test-type devices. DLA Troop Support Indo-Pacific contemplates a Firm-Fixed Priced Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract for a base period of 12 months and one option period�estimated under $250,000.00; which is inclusive of shipping and delivery. The delivery location will be the U.S. Naval Branch Health Clinic Iwakuni, Japan. � The delivery schedule and unit amounts will vary and be based on monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually deliveries. � EQUIPMENT AND TESTS SUPPORTED: See Attachment #1 Special Instructions: Items must have at least 6 months shelf-life upon receipt, shipment of same lot number for ACL quality controls for the entire year.� The supplies shall be delivered in manufacturer�s standard packaging and marking for domestic shipment and protected in a manner to prevent deterioration and damage during shipment from manufacturer to the destination. The supplies shall be kept at 1�C through 8�C during delivery from the Contractor�s plant to the delivery point if refrigeration is required or at 20�C to 25�C for items that must be kept at ambient temperatures during delivery from the Contractor�s plant to the delivery point. The small business size standard is 1,250 employees.� Interested parties shall provide the following information to the Government: (1) Name of company - include company address, a contact person�s name, telephone number, and email address; (2) Company size (please specify as either large, small business, etc.; (3) Describe in detail the firm�s capability to provide the items listed above along with item lead times.� Respondents should include applicable Duns and Bradstreet Number (DUNS), Tax Identification Number (TIN) and System for Award Management (SAM) Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code number; (4) Brief Capabilities Statement of Company. �***THIS NOTICE IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT AND A CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.� ALL INFORMATION SUBMITTED WILL BE HELD IN A CONFIDENTIAL MANNER AND WILL ONLY BE USED FOR PLANNING PURPOSES*** The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this notice. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender.
