Description

The 97th SFS has a requirement to upgrade the current Weapons Simulator.� The current system is outdated and no longer has an active warranty. The current Weapons Simulator is based on twenty year old technology. �The simulated ground weapons training systems have been in wide use throughout the US Army since early 2000 and continue to be a mainstay to develop proper weapons handling, marksmanship skills and squad tactics, all while reducing the amount of live ammunition and man hours required on a live fire qualification range. �The EST3000 is the updated version that utilizes current technology and will serve its purpose for another twenty years.� Cubic simulated weapons are not capable of accepting or firing live ammunition or magazines. �The simulated weapons require the use of simulation only magazines or belts that are uniquely keyed to prevent the loading of live ammunition into the simulated weapons and the loading of simulated ammunition into live weapons.� Simulated weapons are 100% safe for training. The 97th Contracting Flight intends to make award to Cubic Defense Application, Inc.�(CAGE: 7R8H9). �Any other interested parties may e-mail caleb.marquez@us.af.mil to explain their capabilities to fulfil the requirement. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
