Description
The service is required immediately and is to be performed in all Army National Guard facilities annually, IAW OSHA regulations and DoD instructions. This is a non-personnel services requirement that will anticipate, recognize, and evaluate potential health hazards associated with processes performed at Army National Guard (ARNG) facilities and to provide sound recommendations for hazard control.� The purpose of this requirement is to identify, measure, and provide recommended methods to control the existence and extent of potentially hazardous worker operations and/or conditions at ARNG facilities. Industrial Hygiene (IH) surveys establish baselines, follow-ups, and special survey of workplace conditions.� IH surveys document and make recommendations for worker protection based on conditions and potential exposures found at time of survey.� This requirement shall provide the following IH services: -���� base-line surveys -���� follow-up surveys -���� annual surveys -���� periodic surveys -���� special sampling surveys (IOM, lead wipes, etc) -���� evaluation surveys -���� Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) evaluations -���� new building constructions/retrofit IH evaluations -���� indoor firing range (IFR) evaluations -���� design review as built or new -���� special IH surveys of worker operations -���� Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) -���� Chemical inventories and initial walkthroughs of each section and operations within the facility to determine areas of human health and safety concern. The services will be performed in the following facility types, where federal workers are employed throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
