- Purpose of amendment 0003 is to clarify that Proposals shall be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer, Patrick Stultz, at patrick.stultz@va.gov, prior to the Proposal Response Due Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM EST. Multiple emails will likely be required to submit all attachments. Server capacity is 10MB for all file attachments, per email. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Site Visit - attachments pertaining to the site visit attached. Project Title: Consolidate Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Project Number: 658-317 NAICS Code: 236220 � Commercial and Institutional Building Construction/ $39.5M IAW VAAR 836.204, magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000.000.00. Project Description: The VA Medical Center located in Salem, Virginia is seeking a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete work associated with the Consolidate ICU construction and renovation as described and shown in the construction specifications and drawings. Work consists of general construction demolition, civil, structural, architectural, medical gas, fire alarm, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and telecommunications. Project includes construction of 10,115 sf of new space and renovation of 5,500 sf of existing space for the co-location of intensive care units and Primary Care Unit (PCU) spaces at theMedical Center. The construction/renovation project provide a fully functional and efficient Intensive Care space to ensure the Medical Center remains capable of providing safe, high quality care to our Veteran population. This solicitation includes a Base Bid and one (1) deduct alternate.� ALL bid items MUST be priced by offerors.� See BID ITEM LIST for descriptions, period of performance, and to affix a price for each bid item. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part � 15 � Contracting by Negotiations In accordance with established public law, all bidders are required to be registered and current in System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of award.� The Official website of the U.S. Government at www.sam.gov. This is a total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside under public law 109-461. Prime SDVOSB shall comply with subcontracting limitation as defined in 13 CFR 125.6 Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit schedule for Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM EST To be held at the Salem VA Medical Center behind building 74 pavilion in the courtyard.
