Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE � The U.S. Government currently intends to award sole source service contract to assist with the required Inventory of Controlled Substance for the Pharmacy Department at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, Fort Polk, LA. This requirement calls for an award date of 28 August 2020 and will have with a start date of 31 August 2020 and will have a 30-day period of performance.� The proposed contract will be a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract awarded to: TraumaFX Solutions, Inc 506 Sandau Rd. Suite 250 San Antonio, Tx 78216 Description of Services or Supplies: Provide dedicated, reliable inventory audit professionals as inventory counters to the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital Pharmacy. The inventory counters will be supported by regional and headquarter personnel, to ensure an accurate and efficient data collection program. The contractor will provide all resources, labor, travel, materials, equipment and management to perform all inventories. Contractor Personnel will provide sufficient number of qualified personnel to complete the count in four to six hours. The contractor shall provide a counting supervisor on site to monitor the inventory counters. All GRx Inventory counters shall have a full background investigation and must include the following: All GRx Inventory counters have passed a drug screening test. All GRx Inventory counters have passed excessive training on inventory counting methods, proper medication identification using NDC's and the proper handling of medications. All GRx Inventory counters are HIPAA Certified. The sole source contract will be awarded under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106- 1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. Given the start date of the required inventory, GRX Inventory is the only contractor that has the personnel and security approvals to conduct the pharmacy inventory at BJACH.� This inventory is required for the Pharmacy to be in compliance with 21 USC 801 et seq (The Controlled Substances Act). This requires facilities that maintain controlled substances to conduct an inventory of all controlled substances. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
