Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Government currently intends to award sole source service contract for maintenance and training of the Trauma FX Mannequins at Reynolds Army Community Hospital (RACH), Fort Sill, OK. This requirement calls for a 12-month base and three 12-month option periods.� Training will be provided in the base year. The mannequins are owned by RACH and TraumaFX Solutions Inc., is the only authorized dealer to provide maintenance for their mannequins.�� The proposed contract will be a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract awarded to: TraumaFX Solutions, Inc 506 Sandau Rd. Suite 250 San Antonio, Tx 78216 Description of Services or Supplies: Service Contract for maintenance, repair and training of the TraumaFX Mannequins located at Reynolds Army Community Hospital (RACH), Fort Sill, OK. The sole source contract will be awarded under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106- 1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. TraumaFX Solutions, Inc., is the sole factory authorized provider of service and support in the United States on any TraumaFX equipment which includes the mannequins at RACH.� They own all the rights to their products and replacement parts.� They are the only company that can provide appropriately trained maintenance technicians that will not void any warranties on their products.� This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source synopsis is for informational purposes only.
