Description

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the modifications as defined in this PWS except for those items specified as government furnished property and services.� The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. A 52� Cut Off Saw requires modification. Currently the saw blade is oversized at 52� and does not have a control for the blade feed-speed. By being oversized, the noise is greater than it should be and the performance of the cut is less than desired. With the lack of automated control over the feed-speed, the operator is forced to turn off the machine, walk to the hydraulic valve, and physically manipulate the valve with a wrench in order to change the speed settings. The objective of this saw modification is to downsize the 52� saw blade and arm to 46�, install a new hydraulic control system for the feed-speed, and remove obsolete components, final alignment, and inspection. 52� Pendu Cut Off Saw modifications, testing, packaging, shipping, parts and installation services, and alignment services.� Services include all labor, travel, expenses, parts, supplies, filters, greases, tools, equipment, gauges, instrumentation, and safety equipment needed to perform the required work.
