Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) for Mechanical Dredging for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District and the Southwestern Division. Project Description: The Southwestern Galveston District (SWG) covers an area averaging 100 miles in width along the Texas coast, extending from approximately 15 miles east of the Texas- Louisiana state line south to the Rio Grande. SWG's responsibility encompasses all of 49 Texas counties, portions of four Louisiana parishes, and adjacent waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This requirement is to procure construction services under a SATOC for mechanical dredging within the SWG area of responsibility.� The SATOC will have two ordering periods for a total of� 5 years.� The maximum capacity is not to exceed $48,000,000.00. Project Description for Seed Task Order:� Dredging of the Houston Ship Channel, Exxon to Carpenters Bayou reach from Sta. 240+00 to Sta. 504+00.� Schedule No. 1 consists of 828,000 cubic yards.� Estimated duration for Schedule 1 is approximately 240 calendar days.���� In accordance with FAR 36/DFARs 236, the estimated construction price range for the �Seed Task Order� is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 237990 which has a small business size standard of $30,000,000.� The Product Service Code is Z1KB. The estimated award date for this project is�November 2020. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount $3,239.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after task order award.� The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after receipt of the notice to Proceed. The solicitation is advertised as �UNRESTRICTED� full & open competition to both large and small businesses.�� The Small Business Size Standard is $30 Million (Dredging). To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
