Description

The F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-17-G-0005 on a sole source basis to United Technologies Corporation, Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, CT to study Thrust Recovery efforts in support of the F135 Component Improvement Program (CIP). �This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. �United Technologies Corporation, Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the F135 propulsion system.� The BOA Order is anticipated to be awarded by fourth quarter of fiscal year 2020 and supports the F-35 Joint Program U.S. Services, Non-U.S. DoD Partners and Foreign Military Sales. �This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers.� Based upon any responses to this notice, the Government reserves the right to process this procurement action on a sole source basis.� For availability of F135 Propulsion System subcontracting opportunities, contact United Technologies Corporation, Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, Attn: Aldith Mason, 400 Main Street, East Hartford, CT, 06118.
