Description

The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Tritech Communications, Inc. for the purchase Webex Room Kit, in the amount of $21,401.00. Although the Sharp display and Cisco Room Kit are commodity items, installation and integration services are specialized. Tritech Communications is a lead contractor for the installation and maintenance of NSF's audio-visual (A/V) systems throughout the building. They helped to design the new building's A/V infrastructure and are adept at integrating new equipment into the agency's existing network. Tritech also has in-depth experience with the Cisco Room Kit at NSF, having installed one in the National Science Board office. The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to sponsor with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106.
