- Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), Quantico, VA intends to award a contract, on a Sole Source basis, to Smiths Detection 2202 Lakeside Blvd., Edgewood, MD 21040, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements� �Only One Responsible Source�. This is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. Responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Questions concerning this notice may be directed to Keshia McKinney at keshia.mckinney.ctr@ncis.navy.mil This is combined synopsis/solicitation #N6328520T2061 for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, Streamlined solicitation for commercial items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This requirement is a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Request for Quotes (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2019-01, Effective 20 Dec 2018 and Defense Federal Regulation Supplement (DFARS), current to DPN 20180215 (Effective 15 Feb 2018) Edition. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable provisions and clauses, which can be accessed, in full text at www.farsite.hill.af.mil.
