- Description
- Upgrade existing Aveva Wonderware SCADA system in accordance with statement of work. USCG Petaluma WWF - InTouch Upgrade at BLDG 530: Question Response 1 What is the screen count for the application to be upgraded? There are 38 screens in all including popups. 2 What is the Tag Database size? There is approximately 5400 records in the Tag Database. 3 How Many Thin Clients? There are 8 thick clients at this time. 4 Is the intent of the bid to potentially seek a new SCADA partner? Or is the intent to purely upgrade from an older version of Wonderware? The intent is to update an older version of Wonderware and implement resiliency into the hardware and software design. 5 Since there is no electrical work in the scope of this project, is the C-7 license a mandatory requirement? This project replaces like in kind office equipment with no electrical work the need for an electrical contractors license in not required. 6 Who is responsible for the development and 3rd party validation fo the SA Process documentation? The SA Process for the installed system is under development by the government, these improvements will be used in completing the new ATO. There is no government or sensitive information stored or processed on this system. 7 What is required in the Quality Assurance Plan (ie. A detailed project task list and testing plan)? The Quality Assurance Plan is the contractors steps and checkpoints that are to be accomplished / verified to assure both the contractor and the government agree on the final product. 8 Submittals section 2.9.d says the contractor must have a C-7 controls license. Since no low voltage wiring is required for this project, can the license requirement be waived? See answer #5. 9 Section 2 item 3 calls for the contractor to acquire and configure a new primary host USCG-WW-HOST01. Please provide a product family or server representative of the server that is required as a replacement. The preferred host hardware and software platform would be a single 2.3GHZ 12 Core Dell rack mounted computer at least 96 GB RAM and 5 TB Raid6 array storage using Windows Server 2019 operating systems for up to four virtual machines as Windows servers. Upgrade the existing system and modify the architecture, including: Acquire and Configure USCG-WW-HOST01 - Primary Host Commission new domain controller Upgrade and commission servers to V2017 U3 for: InTouch Information and Reporting Historian and Trends Modify existing InTouch architecture to include one (1) RDS server to host multiple ""thin clients"" workstations (Client upgrade performed by USCG personnel for existing InTouch ""thick"" clients) Configure Access Anywhere on new VM InTouch Upgrade Upgrade existing Aveva Historian Upgrade Win911 to Win911 Interactive 10 Section 2 item 4 calls for the contractor to commission a new domain controller. Can this be run on USCG-WW-HOST01? The intent of USCG-WW-HOST01 is to be the hardware host for all Four Servers necessary to operate the SCADA platform. So the Domain Controller would be one role of USCG-WW-HOST01. 11 Section 2 item 5 calls for the contract to upgrade and commission servers for InTouch, Information and Reporting, and Historian and Trends. Can these consist of three virtual machines running on the physical server USCG-WW-HOST01? Do they need to be separate physical servers, and if so how many of what specs? See Question # 10. Yes, these services should reside on USCG-WW-HOST01 as virtual servers. If they do, there is no requirement for separate hardware platforms. 12 Section 2 item 6 calls for one RDS server to host multiple thin client workstations. Can the RDS be run on USCG-WW-HOST01, or is a separate physical server (what specs) required? How many thin clients will the RDS need to be able to host? See Question # 10. Yes, the RDS server will reside on USCG-WW-HOST01 supporting up to 10 clients. 13 Section 2 item 11 calls for three new Dream Reports to be created. Can you please provide information about the complexity of these reports, such as the number of tags included in each report? Each of the three reports provide information for the same set of points just in varying periods (Daily, Monthly, Annually). There currently are a total of 22 flows, 15 levels, 7 pressures, 9 power and 10 chemical residual readings that are reported each period. 14 Under the description of work, it says to upgrade the existing system and modify the architecture. Is the intention to update the network and data flow diagrams? See question # 4 15 What are the Serial Numbers on the existing software? The software is licensed under SNs: 2079164 and 2079165 16 Are there any customer specific access requirements for working on the existing, government owned, network? Contract employees must be vetted through security and provide certifications as described in the SOW. This work must be accomplished to operate in parallel to the existing system. 17 Will escorts be required to perform this work? If so will the be provided by the owner? The government upon request will provide all necessary escorts. For the most part all work can be completed off-line and off-site.
