- The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to ANSYS, Inc., 2600 Ansys Dr., Canonsburg, PA 15317-0404, (Cage Code: 0U014) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to receive Software Licensing & Support for a 12 month period.� This software is required by FRC East for simulating aerodynamics and engine performance with an emphasis on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA).� Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required software licensing and support.� Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from ANSYS, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the software program.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �
