- Description
- This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and an award of a contract will not be made as a result of this posting.�� The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is conducting Market Research (FAR Part 10) on Navy Unique Devices (Build-to-Print) in support of the COLUMBIA Class. The Navy plans to procure unique devices for submarine applications meeting the following capabilities.� Ability to handle classified (CONFIDENTIAL) information and hardware Manufacture, assemble, inspect, and certify classified (CONFIDENTIAL) devices in accordance with Navy design specifications, which may include but is not limited to: Machine unique alloys of interest to the USN (for example: Nickel Aluminum Bronze) Fabricate and inject viscoelastic materials Execute classified electron beam welding Conduct dimensional, non-destructive, mechanical, and vibration testing/inspection of materials, subcomponents, and assembled devices This request shall not be considered a commitment of any kind by the Government.�� �No Government response will be provided to questions/comments submitted in response to this notice nor will respondents be notified of the results of the Market Research or reimbursed for any information submitted in response to this request.�� All questions/comments will be kept confidential and will not be disseminated to the public.� Information received will be reviewed by the Government and used solely for purposes of the Market Research of potential vendors for future requirements to support the COLUMBIA program.� Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice with questions, comments, and a capabilities statement no later than 11 �September 2020.� All responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Tricia Folts, Contract Specialist, at patricia.folts@navy.mil and Abeer Ameer, Contracting Officer, at abeer.ameer@navy.mil.�
