Description
The Naval Medical Research Unit No. 6 (NAMRU-6) Research Science Department work with the Honduran MOH National Surveillance Laboratory in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in the project entitled �Biosurveillance Laboratories in Honduras�. The aim project is to strengthen and improve quality control and quality assurance measurements to diagnose and monitor infectious diseases. To achieve fully capabilities in biosafety for pathogen detection the project requires performing a purchase of N95 respirator masks, as part of personal protective equipment (PPE) for laboratory personnel.�The Disease Surveillance in Laboratories project is a collaborative effort between the Honduran MOH National Surveillance, US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) and US Naval Medical Research Unit No. 6 (NAMRU-6). As part of this project, laboratory quality management training, purchase of equipment, reagents and supplies are being done to enhance the detection of infectious diseases. The main goal of this effort is to strengthen the quality management of the laboratory and obtain reliable laboratory results in infectious diseases. This also will provide better data on response to detecting and reporting disease outbreaks or emerging diseases critical for Force Health Protection in the region.�The requested supply must be delivered in a timely manner following submission of the contract.�Timely communication must be maintained until all materials are delivered. If the requested materials cannot be delivered in a timely manner, notification of the delay in delivery, the reason for the delay, and an estimated time of delivery must be provided. �The supply specifically listed and requested must be delivered in a timely manner and in good condition, according to the delivery specifications of each item with respect to shipping temperature. This product will be delivered at The National Reference Laboratory in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
