Description
L44 & J44 Winter Storage � This is a combined synopsis/solicitation based on end of year funds availability for L44 & J44 Winter Storage, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� The combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is 70Z03920QPCCCCDN3 utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13. Requirement specifications are as follows: Provide supervision, labor, materials, Winter Storage, and bottom Preparation and painting of the USCG Academy Leadership 44, and GLORY J-44 Sailing Vessels.� Service to include: Prep, unstep and store carbon fiber masts. Quantity (9) Haul, wash bottoms, and block down for winter storage. Quantity (9) Sand, Prep and Paint Bottoms 2 coats rolled. Quantity (8) Sand, Prep, and Paint Bottom 2 coats sprayed. Quantity (1 GLORY)� Prepare and step rigs (safely dock tuned) Quantity (9) Launch vessels based on mutually agreed schedule Limitation: Due to the limited abilities of the training vessels can only transit in the following waters: Thames River, New London CT Mystic River, Mystic CT Fishers Island Sound Eastern Long Island Sound � The Coast Guard Academy staff will decommission and commission all systems, replace, zincs, remove and store booms. The Winter Storage contract can only be considered for contractors who have dry docking facilities accessible by the above mentioned waters. The dry docking faculty awarded the contract must have the ability to haul a vessel with the following characteristics: Molded Beam (extreme)������������������������������� 15� Length Overall����������������������������������������������� 44� Mast Height (From waterline)����������� ����������� 78 Design Draft�������������������������������������������������� 10������������������� The USCG Academy will deliver 9 sailing vessels to the contractor who is awarded the contract.
