- Characteristics of Creaform Go!Scan 3D Scanner The Go!Scan 3D scanner is a user-friendly but powerful scanner primarily used for development and prototyping.� It is hand held and makes scanning complex surfaces right the first time, without the need for complex setup.� Key characteristics are: High accuracy: Up to 0.0020 inches High resolution:� 0.0039 inches Large part size range:� 4 inches to 13 ft. Easily handheld:� Weight 2.7 lb Light source: White light Positioning methods: Geometry and/or color and/or targets Texture resolution: 50 to 200 DPI Texture colors:� 24 bits Provides instant ready-to-use files High measurement rate � up to 1.5 million measurements per second Quick set-up:� Less than 2 minutes Scanning uses include scanning parts for use in 3D applications such as reproducing the part or prototyping a superior part, creating training parts (much cheaper than using actual parts), designing jigs, creating 3D space layout using augmented reality, and creating other VR/AR capabilities.
