- This requirement is being synopsized as unrestricted.� Valid offers are acceptable from large and small businesses. DLA Mechanicsburg is soliciting a requirement for a Requirements long term contract for three base years and two option years for the 112 items listed on the attached solicitation. The solicitation that is attached to this synopsis notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for proposals.� The solicitation will be released for proposals upon the expiration of this synopsis. Based on market research, these items are not commercial items under the definition of FAR 2.101, therefore the Government does not plan to use the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Current known supplier of these items is Hensoldt Inc, Cage Code 7Y2U0.
