This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-07, Effective 08-31-2020. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516, Software Publishing, with a small business size standard of 1000employees. This acquisition is full and open to all business sizes. Responses are due by 10:00 a.m., September 15, 2020. Questions may be submitted by email to the Contract Specialist (Lisa.Schaupp@nih.gov) through September 8, 2020 by 9:00 a.m. E.T. Answers will be posted by 5:00 p.m. E.T. September 9, 2020. The National Institute of Health, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, is seeking to acquire two new Isolators to accommodate potentially longer Beyond Use Dates (BUD) for drugs made in Isolators as compared to drugs made in Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs). Many of the drugs that will be made in the Isolators will be single runs of one batch. The use of Isolators may increase the storage life for these drugs. Please see the two Statement of Work documents and the combined synopsis/solicitation, attached, for details of the requirement.
