Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to�Guralp Systems Limited�for the procurement of�three Guralp Certimus Seismic Sensor Stations to include a Certimus Accessory Pack, Surface Storage Module, Portable Power Module and PPM Accessory Pack. The Certimus Seisic Sensor Stations is the only one that meets the�CDC's requirements:� designed for direct burial rather than requiring a surface mount, which requires a robust design and high tilt tolerances; has very low power requirements in order to reduce the number of batteries/solar panels required to run the station (less than�0.5 Watts); supports sampling rates of at least 250 Hz for surface applications, 1000 Hz for�underground applications; supports precision time protocol or network time protocol for deployment underground; has a flat frequency response of at least from 0.1 to 100 Hz; and records three orthogonal components for�source inversion�. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within�three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response should be emailed to Adam Lorimer, Contracting Officer, at oga5@cdc.gov.
