Description
Mr. Hobgood has more than 35 years of experience in analyzing, designing, evaluating, and administering agriculture development and food security programs.� Mr. Hobgood excels in strategic planning, program design, and evaluation, especially in the areas of policy reform, agribusiness and market development, agriculture and nutrition integration, technology development, and rural finance. Having been one of the architects of the World �wide Feed the Future program (FTF),� by directly participating with Secretary Clinton�s staff in the design of� FTF, Mr. Hobgood is uniquely knowledgeable about the original FTF objectives and overall intent of the FTF program. Mr. Hobgood served as Mission Director in Nigeria and Chief of the Office of Agriculture for USAID-world-wide which uniquely qualifies him to address overall USAID policy and management issues as well as high-level agriculture technical policy and strategy issues. His work to stand up the FTF program in Tanzania focusing on the integration and agriculture and nutrition, his recent work in Kenya on agriculture policy, agricultural transformation, scaling up technology transfer, the undertaking the evaluation the overall FTF portfolio, and support to USAID in the initial phase of the FTF strategy redesign makes him particularly uniquely qualified to contribute to FTF program development and design specifically in Kenya and the East Africa Region as he inherent working knowledge to fulfill the needs of the Statement of Work.
