Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: Hematology Analyzer Rental, Base + 2 Option Years No.: HCSC1300283 THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES OR PROPOSALS **UPDATE** This update is to clarify the conflicting information listed in the description and PWS regarding the total years for this requirement.� To confirm, this requirement is for one base year and two option years.��Disregard the incorrect information on PWS - there will be only two option years, not four.�� The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price commercial item for a Hematology Analyzer capable of performing a complete blood count with automated six part differential (NEUT, LYMPH, MONO, EOS, BASO, IG (Immature Granulocyte), red blood cell indices, automated reticulocyte count, and platelet estimates on routine patient samples (including adult and pediatric samples).� The analyzer must be able to keep up with a workload of approximately 9,500 tests per year. The period of performance for this effort will be a 12- month base period with two (2) 12-month option periods beginning 1 October 2020 . The total estimated value is estimated at $98,000.00 This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from placing an order on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 8.405-2 for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 8.405- 6(a)(1)(i)(B). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the options included in this requirement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the 87th Medical Groups Laboratory critical initiative. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
