Description

This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Fixed Price Purchase Order to Brain Vision LLC, 2700 Gateway Centre Blvd Suite 600, Morrisville, NC 27560-6202, on a sole source basis to procure upgraded NIRSport2 16-16 Core fNIRS System, NIRSport2 16-16 Core fNIRS System, including sources, detectors, and caps currently utilized in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department, Functional & Applied Biomechanics (FAB) Section. FAB requires a 16 x 16 (source x detector) mobile, LED based fNIRS system with 16 avalanche photodiode (APD) based sensors, 16 dual tip active source fibers. FAB requires 120 grommet assemblies to secure the optodes (top and bottom pieces) at four different spring tensions: near zero (20), low (40), medium (40), and high (20). Each grommet assembly includes two pieces: a top and bottom.� Brain Vision, LLC is the sole authorized distributor of the NIRSport2 from Brain Products.� The Government intends to provide a fixed price purchase order for this purchase of equipment. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12 in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements in FAR Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Lisa Schaupp, Contract Specialist, Lisa.Schaupp@nih.gov, by the due date and time marked in this notice.
