Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Government currently intends to award a sole source purchase order to Stryker Corporation to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to include parts, and labor on the Government-owned, Stryker Power-PRO Ambulance Cots at Reynolds Army Community Hospital, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. This requirement also includes all installation equipment and training. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price awarded to: Stryker Corporation 3800 E. Center Ave Portage, MI 49009 Description of Services or Supplies: This requirement provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and includes parts, labor, travel, one annual PM inspection, battery replacements and product equipment checklists for six Government-owned, Stryker Power-PRO Ambulance Cots model numbers 6506.� This requirement will have a base year three option years.� This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. Stryker Corporation is the only vendor that has the proprietary license software and trained personnel to provide ProCare EMS preventive maintenance program services for Government owned Stryker equipment. Stryker Corporation has authorized distributors that sell their items, but they do not have any authorized distributors that provide maintenance services on Stryker equipment. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future.� The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.� The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source synopsis is for informational purposes only.
