Description

DESCRIPTION: THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY.� The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Precision Strike Weapons Program Office, PMA-201, intends to negotiate and award a Cost plus Fixed-Fee Order with Lockheed Martin (LM) under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-16-G-0008 for Product Improvement Studies for the Enhanced Laser Guided Training Round (ELGTR).� Specifically, LM will be required to 1) conduct a carriage and compatibility study of the BDU-59B/B ELGTR on the F-35 internal and external carriage points,2) Support CNU-571 shipping container modernization effort to increase load to 4 LGTRs per container and 3) Implement defined producibility initiatives on current and Shelf Life Extended variants. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST. All businesses capable of meeting the above requirements are invited to respond electronically. Responses shall include company name, address, DUNS number, CAGE code, point of contact with email address and telephone number, and indicate business size.� Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought from Lockheed Martin, 459 Kennedy Dr., Archbald PA 18403.� THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.�
