Description
The�unload unit checking fixture (P/N 117D2174) NSN 4920-00-003-0769 is designed to test the F15C/D main gun. The unload unit checking fixture is used to mount to the gun unload unit and checks for proper unit-gun timing during installation procedures. The US Air Force owns the complete Technical Data Package (TDP) for this item; therefore it is looking to have this item manufactured by any number of qualified contractors.� There are a few items that have been identified in the TDP such as the case, latches and a few others that are commercial items and may no longer be available. It is advised that all interested participants thoroughly review the data package and make sure they can source all required material.�The projected buy quantity is�22 units over 4 years (Basic plus 3 years). Service requirements for this item may be performed by the contractor during option years/ordering periods,�or by the Air Force itself depending on the different needs. The The Air Force owns the complete Technical Data package for the unload unit checking fixture.� The technical data package is fully sufficient to manufacture the unload unit checking fixture.� There are a few items in the TDP such as the case, latches and a few others that are commercial items and are no longer available.� However the vendor manufacturing this item will have an easy time finding a suitable replacement� as these are common hardware types that will need to be accepted by engineering at Robins AFB.� All of the other data is sufficient to manufacture. The unload unit checking fixture is a go/no go gage for the F15C and D main gun alignment.� The�unload unit checking fixture�must meet the technical requirements laid out in the drawing package.� The�unload unit checking fixture�must be able to give accurate go/no go reading for the alignment.� These requirements can easily be met in the commercial fabrication market.� Machine shops have the ability to meet some very tight tolerances as long as they are required by Technical Data Package.� Additionally, a First Article Test is required to be performed by the Contractor. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which�AFLCMC/EBK intends to award a Basic and�3 ordering periods/option years. The official request for proposal is estimated to be sent out on�5 June�2020 with a proposal due date of�15 July�2020. The Technical data package will be made available once the RFP is posted and will be export controlled.� All responsible sources may submit a capability proposal, which shall be reviewed by the agency. In accordance with AFI16.201; Foreign participation is not permitted at the prime level.
